HD DVD is going out of bussiness. So you requirement to go next to Blu-Ray anyways. But Blu-Ray is better in vocabulary of sound and picture talent. HD DVD goes up to 1080i and Blu-Ray go to 1080p. The optimum quality of picture available. Well, HD-DVD and Blu-Ray both output within 1080p, the highest resolution possible, and both can output nearly the same nouns, so there's really no difference between the two. The problen is, as of Friday, the HD DVD Promotional dissolved, which means HD-DVD is properly dead and no HD-DVD titles will be released. So it would be a bit foolish to go HD-DVD very soon. Go with Blu-Ray.
