Sure. Make sure it can handle the volts and amps your device consumes. I own a US model from Radio Shack that pouts out 140 watts (at) 115 VAC 60 Hz. Google Car Charger to VAC adapter. Good luck.

Yes sir...I love mine :) What you are looking for is call an inverter. It changes the 12 volts DC surrounded by your car to 115 volts Ac to power something that wants the AC. Radio Shack, WalMart, most any auto supply, etc, will sell inverters. If you want to power something that take a lot of current trade name sure you get an inverter big ample. Just tell the sale person what it is you want to power and they should be capable of figure out the size you inevitability.
