Does anyone know around getting the outer peak fixed on a Sansa e260? The outer plastic screen on my Sansa e260 cracked
The outer plastic screen on my Sansa e260 cracked after an disaster. The LCD is fine. Does anyone know how, or if, this can be fixed and by whom?

i have one of those to and the screen cracked but i couldn't get hold of it fixed so it sucked the only path is with waranty. or buy a spanking new one but i used my for a long time after that oh, I thought it was a camera. seem others have problems beside the screen cracking too, but no solutions (your lucky the lcd didn't suffer spoil either) they usually crack within 2 days to 2 months. sounds approaching a replacement will crack too. (low end open market pieces)

so even if it just COVERS the casing, you might be able to friendly the e200 (series) remove the cracked plastic carefully and afterwards put the cover back on and consequently (if its just a armour cover) put the case cover on.
don't remove the cracked eyeshade until you have the tentative part contained by hand.
yes. it snaps on the inventive cover and should cover the lcd somewhat with its own MAGIC eyeshade. if you remove the cracked screen dust might carry in it, but the e200 have almost no moving parts. (periodic air dusting recommend by me)
oh its not sleight of hand. its just a fanlight with a scrawny layer of reflective coating. when the eyeshade lights up, the light shines through.
not a TRUE, fix, but a nice band-aid for the problem
