MAXIMUM WATTS IS AUSTRALIAs outlet? I brought my blowdryer from Australia to Japan ,

I brought my blowdryer from Australia to Japan , and it started smoking , now its comatose.
Now i want to order one from the US, so would a 2200 W be ok contained by an Australian outlet?

Find your electrical breaker box and check what amps they trip the circuit offline at. Multiply that times the voltage you have and you find Watts. Realistically though, it probably smoked for reasons unrelated to your power system. They usually smoke becuse the atmosphere inlet vents to the motor are smotherd by your gelatinous hair or stack of dust and debris. Hair wrapped around the motor shaft is third. Buy one designed for your current power system and be done next to it. Good luck.
240v - 50hz
You would need to obtain a special adaptor for overseas appliances. I think Coles vend them. Watts is not the problem.

Voltage is the problem.

Japan is 100VAC.

Australia is 240VAC.

America is 110VAC.

A US one will work in Japan. It will burn out within Australia.

A Japanese one will work in Japan and America but also burn out within Australia.

I am surprised your Australian one even worked in Japan (did it nouns slow or heat at adjectives?).

There are some dual voltage blowdryers around - they are the travel model types - maybe you should receive one of those.
