I was wondering what MALE and FEMALE connects stand for? Is one input and one output?
And a short time ago so I know (i know this is a stupid question) but output means nouns going out from, and input means nouns going into right?

I can only conjure one has a hole (female) within which something is pushed (male)
So a usb port is female and the device cable you are attaching would be the masculine part.
A male connector fits into a womanly connector!
As with adjectives the other answers, male is the sector that goes into the feminine part. With some connector styles it can attain somewhat confusing but usually in the shield of any shielded connector the male is the one near the pin and the female is the one near the socket that the pin fits into.
Input and Output are different. Input refers to a place to send an electrical signal and output refers to a place where on earth the electrical signal comes from.
So the female RCA inputs on a TV for composite video input (yellow), disappeared channel audio input (white) and right direct audio input (red) are connected via yellow, white and red manly to male RCA cable to the source of the video and audio which has RCA womanly outputs. And the source of that video and audio might be a DVD player, DVD recorder, cable box, satellite box, gaming system, VCR or DTV converter box. All of these items have Female RCA outputs next to composite video output (yellow), left low audio output (white), and right channel audio output (red).
This is the passageway that connections exist on consumer equipment. But some equipment that consumers also come into contact with such as microphones for PA and music systems use XLR connectors. XLR connectors usually do enjoy a specific male and feminine end relationship that does work within conjunction with input and output. It really depends on if the XLR is the primary connector or it is adapted to 1/4 inch plugs on both ends. Using 1/4 inch plugs channel that both ends are male again (on the cable) and they plug into feminine connectors on the input and output sides of the equipment being connected.
The same entity it means for humans, adjectives sense I'm pretty sure it means the adapter style. If one have a probe (looks similar to a male part) its a masculine adapter..if it goes surrounded by (looks like a feminine part) then its a womanly.
