I want to hook up a microphone to a sony 1996 cassette deck? it has the two input and output connections surrounded


it has the two input and output connections surrounded by the back, zilch more,what I want to know if it is possible to hook up a mic, and how and what would I need to do to acheve this.I want to story my acoustic guitar playing through it. Any guidance would be appreciated.

If I be you I would contact Radio Shack and ask them if they have a device that you can plug into your inputs surrounded by the rear of your video deck that will allow you to use your mic. If they do then adjectives you have to do is plug it into the 1 or 2 inputs depending on how lots mics you are planning to use, into the rear inputs of the cassette deck then your mics and that should work.
George Audio cassette recorders [usually] singular have row level inputs. If yours just has the L/R input, later it's line even. For mics or guitar pickups, you'd need a pre-amp to tilt the low level to splash level.
