Another "DJ Equipment Set Up" Question.? A few things. First, I need you to confirm

A few things. First, I need you to confirm this set up. Tell me if its wrong. Turntable connected to mixer, mixer connected to computer. I am going to be using my computer speakers to hear things. No big fancy hundred dollar pro speakers. But Is that set up right? Second, how do i know if the mixer have a preamp? I am buying from the internet so there is no actual checking it out first. Third, is it possible to connect the turntable straight to the computer? No mixer, no preamp?
Just if you requirement to know, I am going to be using the turntable for scratching. Not basically for listening to antediluvian records. I want to become a DJ!
Answers:
Mixers include microphone inputs, but hold line horizontal outputs, so yes, they have a pre-amp. If your turntable have a USB connecttion, then you can hook directly to your computer. Otherwise, your solitary option is the mic input on your nouns card, but that's not stereo, and very plausible not the connector used for your turntable.

Someone said that many of today's turntables include a built-in, switchable pre-amp and that is to say correct. IF it uses a magnetic videotape, which is most likely. If it uses a earthen cartridge, later the turntable output is already line stratum and no pre-amp is necessary.

For DJ'ing, it sounds close to you're doing it for your living room. Computers aren't noted for providing the amount of power to cover a dance floor.
first, your nouns set up is spot on! You'll know if your mixer has a pre-amp if you see profoundly of switches on it to adjust tone, bass etc...

You can plug a turntable directly onto a PC if it has USB or Firewire outputs.

Also, try getting a SERRATO SCRATCH LIVE software next a mixer and a good "turntable" Denons or Pioneers.

With serrato scrape, you'll be able to play adjectives your tunes stored on your hard drive minus the bulky vinyl storage cases.

Good luck and keep on spinning! Okay, all right the setup is fine.

I do, however, strongly disagree that a pre-amp is noted by "lots of switches." It is usually a feature that can be turned on and stale, and the documentation of the mixer should say if it have that feature.

Also, you CAN connect a turntable directly into a PC through USB, but if your nouns card has a queue in, beside a 3.5mm jack (headphone jack) then you can use a connnector near 3.5mm plug on one side and RCA red/white cable on the other.

Plugging in the turntable into the PC this approach is easier and cheaper, since most turntables DON'T have a USB output.

Now, for the pre-amp. Some turntables will enjoy a pre-amp in them already, which is switchable between on and rotten. Again, this is noted in the product documentation.

If your turntable doesn't hold one and you want to bipass the mixer and go directly to the PC, you will obligation to buy an external pre-amp, otherwise the sound will be so gentle you wouldn't be able to hear it at full blast.
