Hi
I'm form San Antonio Texas, and I'm building a motor but I can't find any wrapping wire anywhere. I don't want to receive it off of the internet, because I'm doing a project that I enjoy to turn in subsequent week so I don't have much time.
I want the lead that is insubstantially coated with a paint and that can't be scraped of near a nail-file or sand-paper.
Please tell me of some stores that fetch them around town.

Try Radio Shack, http://www.radioshack.com/product/index....
This is the type of line that small motors and coils are made from. There is an enamel coating, but could be scraped off for things approaching connections to the commutator.
Good luck with your project. Been a lot of years, but here used to be a decent one on San Pedro north of I-410. Used to also be another within the 700 block of San Pedro downtown. Your best bet is probably to look in your ashen pages underneath Electronic or Electric Parts or Supplies.
To find what you're looking for, though, you're going to need an industrial company that sell to the public, rather than the conventional consumer companies.
