How can i device the strength of a satellite dish signal next to a multimeter?

Answers:
I devise you will need a signal tester.
I am not sure a multimeter will be much help, since the signal is modulated.

Did you check the menu for Settings of your Satellite Receiver? Mine have an S-Meter to check signal strengths. Look under satellite settings. I'm assuming you do enjoy a satellite receiver.
If you're with the sole purpose wanting to measure the signal strength from the dish itself, next you need a Satellite Signal Strength Meter which can cost from $20 to $175 online. Turn it on, set it on 'ohms', get the lead ready.

Then beckon whoever you get the satellite dish from, and seize them to come out and check it for you.

If they give you any crap, contact your service provider, ask to speak next to a manager (never concordat with tier 1 anything, anywhere) and detail them to get out in that and fix their crap.
