i want to get a blu gleam player...i have a 52 inch samsung LCD 1080p small screen....we just get the hd added to our cable package and it looks great...2 movies i be wanting to buy are i am legend and i robot on blu shaft of light...i hear the blu ray looks great...i would a bit have a sony blu sunbeam player due to its my living room...but which should i go for..THANKS

Considering that a blu-ray player composes more than partly the cost of a PS3, I personally would choose the PS3 over the player by a long-shot. (Especially since they're both sony made, they hold the same technology.) Well, it's demonstrable depending on what you want.
With a ps3 you have harddrive and can play games, but it's rather weird have the blu ray remote.
If you freshly want to watch movies, after get the blu-ray player.
In your situation, I would walk for the ps3 since it is a good investment within the future.
