How do I hook my DVD player up to my Cable box? I have the red, white, and pallid hook-ups on
I have the red, white, and pallid hook-ups on the DVD player and the Cable box, I also have a S-video slot on both, I hooked adjectives of them up, but not getting sound or picture, still simply the cable on the t.v. How do I hook it up without have to use my converter box?

Go directly to T.V. from DVD and just turn past its sell-by date your cable box to watch a video. that should do it.
I have this same problem and called the number on the dvd player box that get me to customer service. I was lucky to carry someone who could walk me through it. If that does not work appointment the cable company and they will be able to serve. Most cable boxes don't provide inputs only outputs. If this is the suitcase with yours, which it probably is, you requirement to hook up the dvd player directly to your tv by using different inputs on your tv or if you have no free inputs you can pick up a switch box at most electonic stores.
The hook-ups on your cable box are most promising outputs for your tv. if I'm wrong, please provide the model number on your cable box and I could assist you further.

K...this may not be the same box you enjoy but hopefully it will still help...If it's anything approaching this box ( http://www.comcast.com/MediaLibrary/1/2/... ) then adjectives you have to do is turn power bad on cable box and it will pass-thru the video from inputs... and now that I infer about it my tivo worked this channel.... As for the power, you don't turn cable box completely off. When you press the power button any on the box or on the remote the cable box actually go into standby mode. Simulated off. This will still allow the signal from the dvd inputs to pass-thru. Also, you may enjoy to change something surrounded by the settings menu for it to work.
