Sent unwanted stock,? how long till you can claim them as yours

how long till you can claim them as yours with no letters or any form of contact from the company that sent them/
Answers:
Assuming you're in the U.S., did the company dispatch them to YOU (your name)? If not, then you're reasonably obligated to refuse confinement and return them immediately. The cost will be between the company and the delivery service. If the carrier refuse, then THAT is between the company and the shipper. No longer your concern.

If they did send them to YOU, minus your solicitation, then no agreement for purchase have been made. Without agreement, you cannot be held justifiably obligated to pay for them. Keep them, relish them, throw them away, donate them, whatever suits your fancy.

Companies used to use those procedure back surrounded by the early 1960's, but a few court cases set that precedent right and simply an idiot attempts it anymore.
If you are sent unsolicited goods short your consent then you hold no obligation to return or retribution for them.
If you did not ask for them, say as surrounded by a trial, then technically they are yours but if you sent away for something from a fastidious distributor and they sent the wrong items you must pay or return, receive the picture? If you are a business, then you can be charged if you hang on to them, no matter how long near is no mail or contact.
If they aren't address to you, don't open them, that's dubious.
If it's adressed to you, keep it, and donate it possibly? If it's unwanted though, why would you want to claim them as yours?
