I have a sharpAquos lc-37hv4u and it have a coverter box or reciever.I was told the reciever be out but in direct to try i need to hook it up and i dont own the cables,here are two hookups.Display input 1 and dispaly hookup 2. Do i need to use both or can i use 1?where on earth would i get a box if needed and the cable? Its a 36 in and incredibly clean in need a scratch..Please relief

You individual have to use 1 input per device (dvd , cable...) If you use input 1 for your dvd you own to use your remote and press the menu button to set your TV to input 1. The only origin you would need a beneficiary is if you want satellite TV or digital cable and you would buy these anywhere they sell electronic devises or your cable provider. Same go for cables. Depending on how matured your TV is will determin which video cables to use. Here is the writ of picture quality, Coaxial (crap) , Composite (better), S-Video (very good) , Component (excellent). If your TV have component,use it , although the cables cost more they will dispense you a much better quality picture. As for nouns, if your TV has digital inputs use them also. If not use RCA cable (red and white ends). Hope this helps. You only requirement the provided set-top box if you want to connect an off-the-air antenna or cable. Otherwise you can connect another cable or sat set-top box directly to the TV's input.
It looks approaching those inputs are component (R/G/B video + R/W audio) and you can find component cables surrounded by every store.
You only call for to connect one of the two inputs to your set-top box and then use the other for a DVD player.
