My cable comes to the heir through HDMI
Please help!
My cable comes to the heir through HDMI and goes out the heir to my projector through HDMI as well - both nouns and video work great!
I have an Xbox and DVD player hooked up to the heir through component cables. The nouns works great but there's no image on the peak.
Do I need to run component cable from the receiver to the projector within addition to the HDMI I've already connected?

Are you sure you have hooked up component cable?
And not composite cables.
If you be to hook up component cables you should own a picture or video and no sound.
But if you hooked up composite cable then you would enjoy sound and no picture or video.
Regardless what you hold not done is hooked up your video signal from your Xbox and DVD player.
So you must hook up your video signal from both devices to your TV directly either through a S-video or composite (yellow).
Then you should own both video and audio from your Xbox and DVD player.
Yes. Unfortunately, your model of Yamaha beneficiary does not support upconverting to HDMI signal quality. On the posterior of your receiver, simply sun a component cable to the projector. Also, newly FYI your receiver will upconvert your coax and RCA signal to Component. That agency you can input a VCR directly to your receiver, and it will upconvert to Component ability. I must admit myself this upconversion is not great, but it simplifies hooking up a VCR, if vital. Invest in some professional component cable if the distance is great. Good Luck!! In short yes, that receiver does not hold the ability to switch component through the hdmi output. Now if you want to preserve the clean single cable hook-up, you will enjoy to get a different Yamaha. Try the 6080 or 6090. It will cost a bit more but running another set of cable to a mounted projector is a pain contained by the a$$. Unless you dont have it mounted or hold easy access to your projector.
