Because Digital Television Transmission allows compression, more channels can be "packed" contained by the same Bandwidth.
If you consider that the Federal Communications Commission one and only allows so much bandwidth, then you can verbs that yes, there will be more channel available. Now the question remains whether within will be more stations willing to transmit.
With the existent compressed digital nouns, not only they pack more channel, but also they add sub-channels to the foremost channels.

Right very soon there are more channel because most stations are broadcasting on two different channels one surrounded by analog and one in digital. But subsequent year unless things change adjectives analog broadcasting will be stopped, and everything will be digital.
There will not be more stations , so basically nought changes except the passageway stations send out their signals. There won't be more channel. All that is taking place is that each existing canal will start broadcasting a digital signal instead of an analog one.
