Answers:  The HTR is what they phone call the full featured stripe, the rxv is the premiere line, and the RXZ is the top of the column. Basically, the difference is in the components. They use better components contained by the RXV than the HTR but you'll notice the specs are immensely close. The RXZ line is for seroius audiophiles (with greatly of $ to boot). Chances are you'll be very at ease with an HTR series. Yamaha doesn't generate a crappy receiver, they spawn very moral, better and best. Some manufacturers (even those near well respected names) variety excellent receivers along beside junk. Yamaha (and Denon) don't enjoy a junk dash.
