Witch Blu ray-Player is the Best? PS3 or a stand alone sony blu-ray player?

Answers:

Up to you, I say for matching price you can play games and play blu-ray discs sounds like other with a PS3. I recommend the PS3. Right in a minute for the price ps3 is the best. It is already 2.0 compliant. Where most standalone are only ver1.0 that can't be upgrade. When tentative movies come out that are ver1.1 your old standalone wont know how to use the pip features but will still play the ordinary road. Ebay is loaded with population getting rid of there old version 1.0 players.
The ps3 is the most logical choice. Most populace don't know but Sony is taking a loss on this unit. The ps3 would hold easily cost more than $650 near the specs that it has. Sony took the financial lost on respectively unit to carry it into more homes so Blu-ray would win over the HD-DVD format.
Try to find a Blu-ray standalone that is ver2.0 compliant lower than $1000.
PS3
I enjoy both of them and it seems resembling my sony blu-ray plays clearer then my ps3
PS3, except for 2 things:
1. Blootooth remote, so you need to buy an optional adapter in you are using a general remote
2. No ON/OFF form remote.

Otherwise - it is a great BD player. And a game console. And a medium server.

BTW, you can get the $100 cheaper 40gb journal, buy a larger internal SATA HD (I got 320gb for $179), and pop it surrounded by - you get lots of HD space for music and video.
Just return with a PS3. Then you can play video games....
