Hello
I wonder if anyone can help me? I own recently bought myself a Blu-ray disc player (Samsung BD-P1400/XEU High Definition Player) and I am trying to work out what the best channel is to hook it up to my Panasonic Home Cinema system. I obviously cannot do it next to a SCART cable (as there is no SCART socket on the Blu-ray player) I be told in one shop to use RCA cable, but I would need to buy 6 of these and it could win very messy. Does anyone enjoy any suggestions as to what I could use to do this?
Thank you
Answers:
If your panasonic has HDMI input and output next use that. If not then use an optical or digital coax nouns so you can at least attain Dolby Digital and dts surround sound. You don't say, but I hope you own an HDTV, otherwise you won't get any benefit over DVD.
You necessitate to use an HDMI connection. If the Panasonic doesn't hold one, connect direct to the HDTV. Then connect an optical (square black plug) or digital coax cable (RCA, orange) to the Panasonic for audio.
You will have to set the TV to the right HDMI input and the Panasonic to the audio input you chose.
The shop that told you to use RCA is totally wrong. RCA for video will administer you 480 line resolution ... same as DVD), and if for audio will donate you stereo only (and after only if you use two).
I hope this help.
