i owna PS3 and I know for a reality that it supports Dolby True HD cause "I AM LEGEND" be recorded surrounded by Dolby True HD and its awesome. The model you mentioned above ( BD-UP5000) actually supports both. According to its specs, yes, it supports both.
(Actually any player with HDMI 1.3 should know how to do it..)
You still need an AV heir that can actually work out Dolby Tru-HD and DTS-HD. The player just passses the audio via HDMI.
