And just to clarify, your standard DVD's will solitary look better on a Blu-Ray player if you use either Component video (red, green & blue) which is 480p Progressive Scan or HDMI which is 720p, 1080i or 1080p. Just using Composite video (yellow) or S-Video from a Blu-Ray will do nil for you.
