My Hitachi 50 inch lcd projection tv has a pallid circle in the middle of the eyeshade. Kind of like a cloud of pale. I still have warranty on this tv and am wondering what is wrong and what the estimated price of parts and labor to fix it is. If the cost to fix it is expensive, later we will get a up to date tv as replacement. Is my tv dying? I'm kinda hoping it is so I can get a fresh one.

may be one of the Lamps inside may gone fuse ... since its under warranty its jammy for them to replace it ..don worry it may not be a key problem
Its underneath warranty, so its free. If you do have a warranty, the repair should be free. They won't bestow you a new TV.
I don't certify that symptom, but a lamp is typically $200 to $300 but if it requests a light engine, it could be over $1000.
If you hold a warranty, none of that really matters...
