5.1 Sound converters? A few months ago I bought a set of

A few months ago I bought a set of Logitech X-540 speakers and they work great, the only problem is I cannot do true 5.1 surround sound from them when connecting to my PS3. The problem is that the speakers just have 3 nouns connectors (green, yellow and black) as an input and the PS3 solitary outputs 5.1 sound within HDMI or Optical. Is there a cheap solution that would allow me to convert any the PS3's HDMI or Optical 5.1 sound output into the three different colored cable?

Looking at the spec for your speakers, it would appear they're for computer gaming and are not suited for the PS3.

The PS3 is basically the source for the sound, to gain 5.1 decoded, you're going to have need of a proper AV receiver, some half-decent ones are currently available for smaller quantity that lb150.00, plus around lb200+ for the speakers.
Have a look at the Yamaha AV61 system. You need something approaching this: http://us.creative.com/products/product....

I don't know what you consider cheap, but this unit is the cheapest I know.
