What is the pin/color pinout for a standard VGA cable? For a DB15 pc-projector or pc-old_monitor cable.? I have a standard vga cable within my wall.
I have a standard vga cable within my wall. One end near a connector for TV and I cut the other end stale (to run through studs) to connect to a pc. The finishing I cut-off is all molded & I can't see adjectives the colors of wires for all the pins. Does anyone know the pin number to flex color pinout? All I can find is pin & signal name.

The colors are not necessarily impossible to tell apart in every cable. Manufacturers promising used whatever flex was most available to them. As I resembling to say, the electrons don't trouble what color the wire is. I abhor to say this, but you're most potential in a fruitless situation. The previous answerer is correct in that tons cable manufacturers don't follow a standard color coding for wires on factory cable. The only style to be sure of which wire is which, is to pin out the cable. To do this you inevitability either a multi-meter or a tone generator and inductive amp. Multi-meters are assured enough to find a cheap one, but you stipulation to have both ends of the cable within your hand at equal time, highly unlikely if it's run through a wall. With a tone generator you put the tone on one completion of the cable and use the inductive amp on the other end, it can be time consuming running posterior and forth, but if the ends are apart you don't have a adjectives lot of choice. If you can still take the cable wager on out and pin it out, that would probably be easiest. Just use the Ohm setting on the multi-meter to go through one pin at a time and write down which color go to which pin. Once the cable is back contained by the wall, use your list to correctly reterminate the PC shutting and you'll be OK. If you are very lucky, and the manufacturer's website have a color coded pin out, you can get the info from at hand, though it sounds like its a generic cable, and you won't hold much luck.
The only other odds I can think of, is to cut bad both ends and reterminate them both. That way you can opt on your own color scheme to use.
