Approximately how long will BlueRay/HDTV set the standard? Is it expected that BlueRay/HDTV will remain the standard
Is it expected that BlueRay/HDTV will remain the standard for a few years or are these going to be quickly out dated?
Answers:
contained by the USA? probably another 50 years. we are very slow to pick up fresh technology. the japanese went high-ranking def across the board 15 years ago.
The standard-def video format was created within ... 1950 and is still in use.
(No Movie or show have come out in HD short having a standard-def interpretation as well).
It took YEARS and acts of Congress to finalize on 720/1080 formats so I suspect HDTV will be the standard for a devout ... 30 years? (
BluRay, HD-DVD, AT&T UVerse, Verizon Fios --- are all DELIVERY systems, not standards.
People already are predicting that the "Next Thing" is internet labour of content rather than disk base.
(Personally - Half the fun is collecting the titles I love.)
To make a guess ... 15 years for BluRay. Hollywood and plentiful of the developers lost millions of dollars with this format time of war. I don't think anyone requirements to repeat it. The next format move will be by consensus of all the studios and will be established before any player are released.
The developers will pitch the subsequent formats and the All of the studios will simply come to a conclusion which format to back. As is the blu streak has lots of potential as far as space, even highly developed defintions and features. so we are looking at at least 10 to 15 years near this format. Unless some one invents Holovision. lol
