HDMI VS S-video? hi, I would like to know which Connection is

hi, I would like to know which Connection is better for my projector. the cable lenght would be around 10M.

Please consent to me know which connection is best and why, between HDMI, S-video, composite and compenent.
Answers:
High Definition Media Interferface or HDMI is an all "Digital" video and audio signal traveling on one belt, which is more suitable to high definition A/V sources than the 3 since it carry audio "digital" signal. Component is next best contained by line; also suitable for High definition sources (only video capatiable), but is adjectives analog which compromises signal quality. Also displays the bandwith one and only up to 720 progressive scanning horizontal lines, which HDMI can be in motion up to native 1080p. S video or "Super" video single carries standard digital signals (408i/p), and can work on analog signal as ably. Composite, which carry the 2 colors portions along beside the black and white info all on one signal--unlike S-video which carry the b/w info but carries the 2 color portions on another band--works for the standard digital interlace scan one and only.
Although HDMI is best, I use component because a 20' HDMI cord was approaching $150 - $200 and the component was similar to $50 and I do receive HD signals from my DirectTV.

weeder It somewhat depends on what you want to undertake. If the projector is 480p resolution you could use S-video. But if 720p or 1080p you need Component or, preferably, HDMI (or DVI -- the video one and only version) to get best results.

The decree of preference is HDMI, Component, S-video and composite (in decreasing decree of picture quality). HDMI is a digital signal that supports 1080p and up. Component is an analog connection that works great at up to 1080i and over long distances, BUT doesn't support HDCP (Which technique it may not work for HD. See Wikipedia for details on HDCP). S-video is a form of component that won't handle more than 480p, while composite also handle 480, but gives a relatively low talent image.

HDMI can become problematic with budget cable at more than about 15 ft (4.5 m), so you want a good HDMI cable. See the information at the connect. You will definitely seize best results with the BJC Series 1, but should be fine next to any cable Blue Jeans sells that comes contained by a 10m (35' length). You can spend more, but I doubt it will work better. Note, if you plan to enclose the cable surrounded by a wall or ceiling you must use a suitably rated cable.

Hope this help.
