My cable box wont carry signal from connecting block? Today i got a replacement cable box from Comcast.

Today i got a replacement cable box from Comcast. Previously, my box which be housed in a cabinet, could be controlled via a remote sending a signal through my Xantech "connecting block". but this topical box seems not competent to be working with the connecting block and one and only can be controlled when the remote is pointed directly at the box.

Can anyone help me fix this problem? appreciation
Answers:  First make sure that your remote is controlling other items within your system through the connecting block. That guarantees that the IR system is working, including the connecting block.

Next, did you have a small IR emitter glue to the IR eye on the front of your old cable box? Or did your connecting block plug into the pay for of the cable box, into an IR input? Either way, spawn sure that the connecting block has a channel to communicate with the cable box.

Last, is your strange cable box a different brand or model? The IR codes may have changed. If you own the same model box as up to that time, this is a non-issue.
