I have a Panasonic Sc-pt950 DVD player/home theater and I bought a british dvd and I want to monitor it on my surround sound, however, because it's surrounded by 'usa' format I cannot. SO, I was looking online for a code to switch it to multi-regional, but for what is the best ripper software you know to convert it and reburn it?
Answers: The region code is easy to steal care of by ripping the movie, making it adjectives regions and reburning it. But you have a second problem which is not as comfortable to fix. Your British DVD is in the PAL format thus incompatible with your NTSC system.

It is a multi-format, multi-region player. This one is also an up-converter which is great if you have an HD tv. This is a severely high standard machine at a completely reasonable price.
I own one because I get like mad of movies sent to me from Europe, movies that don't come out here at all. But if this is the with the sole purpose European movie you intend to ever buy, it may not be worth it.
