I want to get the audio self played from the tv to come out through my home theater speakers
Answers:  Depends if your TV has "speaker out" most TV's don't own this function, so you'll probably need to connect the source directly to the HT Processor using RCA cable.

ie, if the source is a DVD player, you simply need to connect the RCA outputs from the DVD player (circular next to a hole in the middle, coloured white and red for gone & right) to the RCA inputs on the ht processor (they look identical).

This is the type of cable:-
