Will my current DVD player play Blu-Ray discs? I know that this may be a stupid question,

I know that this may be a stupid question, but I hold no clue.
Answers:

no, wrong format.
Only a blu-ray player or a PS3 Wrong format.
This was on a feature yahoo arcticle today.
Both HD DVD and Blu-ray deliver crisp, clear high-definition pictures and sound, which are more detailed and vivid than existing video technology. They are incompatible beside each other, and neither plays on elder DVD players. But both formats play on high-definition TVs.

not stupid i dont know either haha
No, Blue-Ray will only play on a Blue-Ray player, or PS3. But a Blue-Ray player will play your standard DVDs.
No it will not
No, ahahaha ummm deffinatly not. and they lately stoped maiing hd dvd's and players so you'll need to purchase a Blue beam player
You enjoy to have a blu-ray player to play blu-ray dvds, otherwise it won't work.
Only if it is a BluRay player.

And I wouldn't rush out to buy one. Let everybody else go and buy and dally for the prices to go down.
THANKS FOR THE PANTIES TIP!
yes, if ur player orignally enjoy a Bluray Tag on it.
Depends on what your current DVD player is. For adjectives we know it's actually a Blu-Ray disc player (which are backwards compatible near DVD's) and you are just have some fun screwing beside us ^_^.

In the case you really do enjoy just a DVD player, after that is a big distrustful. Blu-ray discs use a special type of blue laser (hence where the signature came from) that have a much finer beam than that of a typical dvd player. Here is an illustration showing the difference surrounded by beam depth, pit size, and way the disc is read: http://www.blu-raydimensions.com/images/...

Aside from physical differences in that are also format differences that come into play. Blu-ray uses a form of MPEG-4 encoding, where DVD's use MPEG-2. These different formats have need of different decoders in lay down to translate the information into what we see on the screen. So regular dvd players, aside from not have the correct laser to read the blu-ray disc, also have no instrument of interpreting the date even if they COULD read it.
no, you entail a blue-ray player
