JVC addressee: surround nouns issues? i just moved, so very soon i have to

i just moved, so very soon i have to reconnect my electronics. didn't enjoy any problems with addressee before, so i am wondering if its be damaged. i enjoy a JVC RX-ES1SL connected to a DVD player & TV, with 5 speakers. it is simply getting sound out through the TV & subwoofer, no business how i set the receiver's surround sound option. i tested the other speakers on another stereo and they all work fine. anyone hold experience with JVC receiver? (and yes, i have the speakers set up correctly - there's single one way to hook them up!) I'm thinking the addressee needs a trip to the repair shop...
Answers:
Did you set the receiver for 5 speakers?

How?

Turn the Multi Jog till you see "Quick Set Up"
Press Set
Turn the Multi Jog till you see "5 Speakers"

...

the rest of the settings is on page 16 of the instruction book.

The merely thing I can muse to check is the mute button. See if it's on (the sub should mute as well but it's worth a look). Other than that, I reason you need to enjoy it repaired. The overload protection would shut the receiver down but wouldn't do what your is doing. It would be out of the ordinary for both sides of the amp to go at once but it may enjoy an internal fuse so it might be something as simple as that. Do you acquire sound out of the speakers when you turn on the radio to FM? If so, consequently it's connections and settings on the tv and or receiver.

If you are just getting sound out of merely the TV in tv mode, it might be the TV itself. I own a panasonic tv that you need to adjust the speaker output to shift to a receiver.

If you are with the sole purpose getting sound out of the TV surrounded by dvd's, then the digital cable might not be connected properly.
