Ideally it desires to be MPG, but it also needs to be layed out properly on the disc, the mode I make dvd's is using a series of software...I start near VirtualDub to split the audio and video, I then use TMPGEnc to stick them fund together again encoding it in MPEG-2 720x576 25fps CBR 3000kbps, Layer-2 48000Hz 192kbps - its' next used in DVD Lab which is used to get the menu and compiles all the notes to be used in a dvd player - a enormously long and painful process but worth it for the delicous creamy focus - for any additional backing feel free to email me. Depends on the DVD player.
Mine will show Avis and VCD and SVCD, but not MPG or MOV obviously.
Don't know what you want here.
Recomedation use a more friendly and widely use software that convert to mpeg close to Convertxtodvd, and what format need to be to play contained by a dvd beside mpeg universal for adjectives dvd players thats depend on the dvd player brand model because some newer models can play divx !
I reflect on they use AVI ?, But try downloading this - 'Convertxtodvd' - its the programme i use. It converts all your downloaded files to DVD playable ones
