So I made the adapter described here: http://www.epanorama.net/circuits/svideo... using a 1000pf capacitor, as that is the smallest Radio Shack sell. The problem is that the Circuit isn't working - I get no video through it. I own checked and it's wired up right, there's no shorts. When pluged into an S-video source I measure give or take a few 2.5v DC coming all the opening through to the RCA plug. Any ideas on why it's out of action? TIA

I really do not want the ps3 for ANY type of gaming but i notice the pricetag is similar to other blu stream players and sometimes even cheaper. Are there any differences surrounded by picture/video quality between the ps3 and a sony/sharp/panny blu streak player?? Can someone enlighten me please.
Denon avr 888 vs yamaha rxv 663?
Iam lookin for an audiophilist help, ok ably this is the story. I bought the Denon Avr 888 From Dakmart and was unbelievably excited for it to arrive but when it arrived it wouldn't power it up, so i contacted dakmart and they said they would contact denon because it was still below warrenty and denons refurbisher united radio would fix it. i be cool with that so i have to wait for and ups shipping lable email bought it took a week for me to get hold of it so i got a short time upset and told the guy at dakmart i would like a reimbursement, he said fine he needed to contact united radio to hold them ship the unit to dakmart and they would compensation me, so in the expect time i went out and found the yamaha rxv 663. so to generate a long story short i got the yamaha dakmart didn't contact integrated radio in time and the denon is man sent back to me. so my press is which is a better built reciever, i like the adjectives proofing of the yamaha with decodin of dts hd and dobly hd but i am running a ps3 so i am not really using it. i close to the idea of the presence speakers event though i havn't tried it all the same. now for the denon sense it be broke when i first recieved it i havnt had time to audition it but i close to the idea audyessey and i am assunming the video up conversion is better on the denon because it have the dcdi chip compared to what ever chip yamaha uses. so which is a better build, which gives better nouns, basicly which one should i keep and which one should i thieve back, they cost me duplicate amount of money 450.00
Difference between Hdmi Home show business and Regular home arena?
Ok looking for a home theatre for my hdtv, hdmi compatability. But if I buy a home acting with hdmi and connect it to the tv through component, will at hand be much of a difference if it where the hdmi book? Digital Coaxial Cable: newly a component video strip?
At Best Buy I was lately looking at their cabling when I notice something. On the back of one of their subwoofers, instead of using a "Digital Coaxial" cable they be using the green plug on a component video cord to hook their BD player to their AV Receiver. A guy there told me they be the same piece actually. I other thought it was funny that they used like connectors. I knew component be different from composite video (one video transfer lane compared to three, the defence for three plugs), but is a digital coax cable really the same as a component video cable?

I bought a PS3 for the Blu-ray in February. I enjoy been audible range a lot in the order of how digital downloads will be the down fall of Blu-ray. I ruminate that is a bunch of crap. What do you prefer? What do you reason will win? If you choose downloads, choose a particular service, such as Apple TV or Vudu.

Is it true that optical cable are able to output surrounded by 7.1?Or am i only going to bring back true 7.1 THX sound reprouction from HDMI 1.3? Becuse I be sold a reciever at Best Buy and was told that i can receive 7.1 out of optical cables if my player(PS3) be able to do so.But my PS3 will singular output 7.1 via-HDMI is why I am asking
