When I set my 360 HD DVD add on to DTS or WMA Pro for the digital audio output, my home theater system doesn't work, when set on stereo or DD 5.1 it works fine though, I enjoy it running through an optical cable from the 360 to the receiver which is the solely cable that can carry the signal (my HDTV doesn't enjoy an optical input/output, receiver have no HDMI input)

Last month i replaced my projector lamp near a new one as the previous be giving lamp requirement. After replacement of new kerosene lamp, the projector output quality have reduced. Can anyone help me that while purchasing Projector storm lantern , what all factor we need to look within For example i asked from shop keeper more or less its life and he told me its natural life is 2000 hours. are there other factor also other than recitation only model number. are the lamp which can be fitted in same projector can own different Wattage or lumenous or brightness or any other Factor. Plz Explain in detail.

I just bought a Phillips DVD-3140 DVD player that will playback Divx encoded AVI files. I sometimes find Divx files available at 720p resolutions - will these look better on my HDTV, or is the DVD output fixed to the 480p resolution of standard DVDs? Is it worth downloading the bigger 720p avi files?

I have a polite DVD player and it is about 4 years outmoded. It plays DVD + R movies. However, I just bought my first pack of DVD + R DL discs. Will these exotic discs be compatible with my DVD player? Another words, if it works near + R will it always work near DVD DL, or are they read by the player completely differently? Thanks!! Friday I'm going to circuit city to get my latest hdtv and surround sound and a ps3. The tv is a Sony 40" KDL40V2500 and the home the boards is Sony HT-DDW995. Will I get 5.1 surround nouns from the ps3 while playing games watching blu ray if I run a hdmi cable from the ps3 to the home show business then from the home arena to the tv or do I need to run digital optical from the ps3 to home show business for 5.1. Will video part transmitted from HDMI to VGA suffer?
I'm wanting to connect a dvd player(hdmi) to a ceiling mounted projector(vga). Will the conversion degrade the feature of the picture? The two devices are about 30 foot apart, so I figure, seize the shortest hdmi cable I can, connect it to the conversion box and run the rest of the length with vga. Would this length deteriorate the signal?
