Recently bought a sound card (x-fi xtreme music) to connect to my reciever via optical, presently the card doesnt have an optical out but i hold seen an optical organize with 2 mini adapters that appear as if they would fit into the card but i am unsure of if using the adapter would carry full surround nouns to the receiver creative enjoy released a digital i/o module upgrade for the card wich has optical out on it but it would be cheaper to a moment ago buy the lead if i know it would work for surround.
Connecting up an HDMI Home Cinema?
I have a moment ago bought an Onkyo TX-SR505E AV Receiver, Sony KDL40D3500 and a Sony RCD-HXD970 all next to HDMI compatibility. The HXD970 is linked by HDMI to the input HDMI socket on the Onkyo near an HDMI out from the Onkyo to the TV. There is also a digital lead between the AV and the DVD recorder. I enjoy connected the system as recommended in the a variety of manuals but am have difficulty sorting out the sound from the TV to run thro' the AV. In decree to do this it seems I must own the DVD on which then seem to take control so that I come to an end up with nouns from one TV program with a picture from another! I own spend ages working through the setup configuration on all 3 unit but without nouns. Can anyone help?

Converting VHS to DVD?
I have tons of home video that I am hoping to convert to DVDs for my family. I don't hold any special equipment--any recommendations on the best channel to begin? What should I purchase? Or, if it is bearing too difficult or expensive to do on my own, is there a company or website that can do this for me? Thanks!

Could a burned DVD break my DVD players?
A friend burned a DVD for me and when I tried to play it on my DVD players (2 separate players) it would'nt work. I just figure the copy was unpromising, but now neither of my DVD players will read any discs! They try to find a disc after come back near "no disc". Could the burned DVD have broken my players somehow? Is here a way to fix them? One is six disc player and it won't read a disc contained by any position.

I have an Onkyo 601 next to a 6.1 speaker set-up. What is the crossover option within my set-up menu? Choices are 60Hz 80Hz 100Hz and 120 I think. Technical answers beside explanations would be kindly appreciated. Thank You
Def Techs Pro Cinema 600 and Denon 1508?
I currently have an HD-TV (720P only) and use my PS3 for Blu-Ray movies. I basically purchased a home theatre system consisting of Def Techs Pro Cinema 600 and a Denon 1508 heir. Is this a good combination for the price (paid just about $1,100.00 total)? Apparently the Denon 1508 requires that you use an optical audio cable even though it passes HDMI. So my other press is...Do I even need to go past the HDMI from my PS3 and my DirectTV box through the Denon, or since I have the optical cable from both going to the receiver, should I only connect the HDMI cable directly to the tv, as I did before? This would salvage me from having to buy another HDMI cable.
Denon AVR-1508 - HDMI nouns problem?
I will admit that, for adjectives of the electronic toys I have, I am still mechanically illiterate. What makes sense to me signal flow-wise does not seem to be to be logical in the world of home entertainment. So, what have happened is that I bought a Denon AVR-1508 beneficiary. I hooked up all of my components to the beneficiary then connected the addressee to the HDTV with an HDMI cable. And, nil... no sound, no picture. I can't back but think it is a setting on the beneficiary but I am unable to find that information. Any design? Or, suggestions?
