Well i have tried so copious mkv to avi converters but it doesnt work, see i have a Hight defination rip video profile which i want to convert into avi (Divx or Xvid) file as my portible DVD player supports Avi both Xvid or Divx formats, however it dont support mkv files. This profile is approx 2.5GB all i want is to convert it into avi extension in need loosing the quality or if it requires size. hope you get hold of what i am saying. regard

Converting S-video to RCA?
So I made the adapter described here: http://www.epanorama.net/circuits/svideo... using a 1000pf capacitor, as that is the smallest Radio Shack sell. The problem is that the Circuit isn't working - I get no video through it. I enjoy checked and it's wired up right, there's no shorts. When pluged into an S-video source I measure roughly 2.5v DC coming all the style through to the RCA plug. Any ideas on why it's given up the ghost? TIA

My surround sound system can individual take the style of sound plug that comes near a PC (I don't know what it's called, it looks similar to the plug you find on earphones). Does anyone know if your able to convert the red and white wires to the PC one?

I would be plugging a PS3 and PC both via seperate HDMI connectors into the TV, then I looked-for to output it all into a 5.1 system from the TV via the TV's digital optical audio output. I would be using a 5.1 system which take a digital optical audio input, such as the Logitech Z-5500. I have hear that on other TV's it only outputs at 2.0 via its digital optical audio output, not 5.1 surround, can anyone confirm or deny 5.1 near this TV set? Thanks in finance!

I have a 30-inch Philips CRT HDTV. I've gone half-crazy fiddling next to the brightness, color, contrast and sharpness settings, trying to make it "just what the doctor ordered." Without a second pair of eyes, it is intricate to know how close I am. The home theater calibration discs I have aren't that beneficial for the same apology. My current settings are: Brightness: 48 (out of 100) Color: 60 (out of 100) Contrast: 55 (out of 100) Sharpness: 2 (out of 7) Am I close?

I know you can't capture amplifiers for a house so you have to acquire a receiver as your amplifier. Does the wattage of the amp surrounded by the receiver enjoy to meet the TOTAL wattage of the sub and speaker combine to max out everything? 1000WATT sub+(2) 150WATT speakers=a 1,300WATT amplifier or over? What heir will do that much?
