i want to turn my 300 watt stereo into an 800 watt one (adding 2 small speakers two large). currently it has 2 100watt speakers (each near a tweeter and a sub ) and a 10" 100w woofer. is there something i can hook up to a cord splitter to append wattage that will compensate for the split?

I just get a LCD HDTV (moderately expensive, not the high conclude though) and the quality looks impossible on XBOX360 games. Reading online, it looks like I call for component video. I can't tell if it is the ability of the TV or not. Also, is there a big difference between S-VIDEO, composite and component. I haven't be into audio/video in close to 5 years. Things have changed.

So Toshiba have conceded defeat and given up on HD-DVD and Sony's Blu-Ray DVDs win, objective you and I will only be capable of buy movies and videos that are Blu-Ray explanation all our DVD players etc. will be rendered useless. Even the 360 Xbox will eventually step to this format meaning you'll enjoy to buy all exotic game systems. Where is the equality to the consumer in adjectives this? I mean these companies cry the blues that THEY are losing money by folks taking free music etc. and yet it's ok for them to screw us over time and time again. What in the order of the tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands we've adjectives spent over the years on music, movies, tvs, game systems etc. It's really drippy they can get away beside all this. I hear that sometime this year, Blockbuster will only stock HD-DVDs for rental, so start positive your hard earn money folks.

LCR In-wall Speakers interrogate?
I want to put the LCR speakers in-wall. The only place I can put them is around 7ft. Currently they are in the order of 5ft 8 inch and 6 ft high. If I place the speakers superior, is there going to be a big difference between where on earth the video is and where the nouns comes from? In another words, am I going to notice that the nouns is coming much higher than the TV? Also, I can choose between two in-wall speakercraft speakers. The better ones you cannot aim downward and the other ones you can. Is it worth it for me to downgrade speaker quaility so that the speakers aim downward? I am sitting room 10-15ft away from the TV.
Left/Right audio from PS2 for Surround.?
Im pulling my hair out and enjoy cables strung everywhere! I purely purchased a HD DVD player and I want to run my optical connection from it that originally be used for my PS2, but now when I connect the Red/White standard audio connections from the PS2 to my surround heir Im only getting a shaky sound from my satellite speakers but a true nouns from my center and sub. Is this due bc of the fact they are a lower category connection? I hold tried switching all settings on the heir ( Auto In, Opt In, Analog) and even the ProLogic I&II etc. but nothing works. Even stranger, the audio cable are only working on 1 component focus ?? I know I can solve it by just purchasing an optical splitter and another optical cable and run DVD/PS2 both into the heir but this has me mind boggled. I be planning on this set up temporarly (but keep my PS2 surround sound) until I am competent to purchase an HDTV and run the HDMI to the HD DVD.

Im thinking about buying this system for my workstation ill be using it to play games nd unanimously use the computer but also i will be listening to music on this system. I am into have gud sound system nd listen to music loud .until now i hav have pa systems setup in my room ... but they aint exceedingly gud for games nd simply take up abundantly of my room ..nd dont sound gud surrounded by a small space like that so i want to buy proper laptop speakers ..but past experience beside home theater nd pc speaker systems i hav have puts me off as some systems i have were large on wattage nd quality but didnt deliver loudness (this is the basis for me having pa systems within my room) but i hear this system realy delivers so anyone who have this system wat do u think, is it a gud buy?
Looking for the best instrument to find video from PC/laptop to my home theater.?
I want to watch video from my Laptop (and possibly my other PC). I have a comparable Home Theater set up, and would resembling to have it run through my AV addressee to optimize the surround sound. What is the best (meaning simple and inexpensive) method to do this. If it helps I am running a wireless nouns between both my PC and laptop. PS send links please for devices if at all possible. TJ
Magnetically shielded?
I've planned to place normal auditory speakers for my home theater system..since they were not magnetically shielded, do I own to keep a in no doubt distance so that it won't injure my newly bought lcd tv?? what are the approximate distance for center and most important speakers?? thank you...
