Just got a 42" HDTV. The TV have like 15 hookups surrounded by the back for composite, component, HD, cable, and the analogous audios for all those. My DVD player is roughly speaking 5 years old, but at the time, I be told it supported HD. It has the 5 connecting inputs, 3 for video, 2 for audio. When I hook it up to my elderly junky TV, the DVD player works fine, but when I hook it up to my flat screen, it newly gives me the elementary "no input" screen. I've tried plugging the cable into just in the region of every port 2-3 times, no change at adjectives, no audio at all any. Any ideas as to what might be cause this? (I have monster cords, a Vizio 42" TV, and a rightly generic old sony DVD player.) And btw, my PS2 works fine near my TV, plays games and DVDs.
