Yeah, use a Voice over Internet Provider (VoIP) which is free to other PCs - all you obligation is a microphone and speakers / headset. It is also cheaper to use a VoIP to a landline.
Skype is probably the best, but give others a try to go and get the best offer (I am not within Saudi at the moment!)
Download Skype and you can talk over the computer for free. If you've both got pcs download 'skype'. You can cal workstation to pc for free!
Yahoo hold out this service too but the quality is poor surrounded by comparison.
