Why can't i set up BT Answer 1571 on my BT Converse 1300?

You don't set it up, BT does it - contact BT
What do you be set to 'set it up'. Don't BT have to do that for you?

I devise you may have the phone set to pulse dialling, turn the phone over and you will see a switch dotted P - T - TE. Select "T" and you should be able to access your 1571 service.
