hi i have a problem .My alien phone crackles .I have broadband .can anyone insist on me as what to do.My old phone never did this .!

This sounds similar to a DSL filter problem you need to enjoy a filter on EVERY connection (remember things similar to SKY boxes) this should do the trick. If however you have adjectives of them plugged into a filter then my guess is you will hold 1 filter that's faulty, to find out what one you inevitability to unplug them one at a time.
If after all of this you still hold a problem try a "normal" corded handset contained by the main socket, if this still have a problem it's time call your service provider and report a culpability.

Add a filter to the row after it gets splitted from the Hub ,
because this crackling and static is individual because of the Dsl added to the lien with out a filter. Yes we have a problem with our digital dec phones crackling because of the wireless broadband router.
We get a new ADSL filter and it fixed it
