How can i prevent my parents from audible range me speak at hours of darkness (on the home phone)? is there any mode for them to think that
is there any mode for them to think that the stripe is not busy (all they hear is the dial tone) when they pick it up..?

Don't collaborate on the phone, they will not hear you.
He who pays the bills make the rules.
If you want some privacy... next just use your cell phone... or TELL ur parents that u want some. then why don't you use your computer calling your friends?

um.. how around not talking on the phone at dark. My oldest does this and it keeps me up. Her voice booms through the house. Respect for your parents involve for sleep should be the main consideration.
Either that or catch an extension in the garage where on earth no one will hear anything.
