What's the best NID to buy? My phone company sucks, and I'm going to buy

My phone company sucks, and I'm going to buy my own NID. I want one that's very weatherproof, and I'm going to enjoy a dsl splitter there within the box instead of using a splitter like my phone co does.

So which is the best level? I want as cheap as possible, but quality is the most defining factor.

not sure what you are talking just about aas far as buying your own NID...

the NID is the telephone companies property and you do not own authorization to open the teleco side of the NID, or remove the NID from your home..

in a minute, if you are not affecting anyone elses service but your own, i do not think anyone is going to walk after you, but you just can not budge out and buy a NID... as they are teleco property, and built exclusively for the telephone company (verizon NIDs enjoy there signature on them) there is no use for a retailer to market them directly to the end user...
if you are not a customer next to AT&T orVerizon. they will not replace it for you. because you are not there customer. send for your phone company. the one who sends the bill to you. you can not buy this item your self. when the phone company comes out ask them to call AT&T or Verizon. your phone company will hold AT&T or Verizon come out and replace the NID. AT&T and Verizon are what is called a CLEC. afterwards there is an ILEC. which is a resale of what AT&T and Verizon. do but cheaper afterwards they are. the ILEC buys the number from them. using your old number. afterwards you save more money consequently AT&T, Verizon

E You need to RAISE HELL near your telco. They are required to place a NID. Don',t allow them no BS. Tell them you will go to the Public Service Commision if they don't install one. As far as the DSL splitter go, VERIZON will install them for free if you are getting DSL from them. The splitter I have is made by TII, whoever they may be.
