You could unplug adjectives the other phones. Many handsets have a "ringer off" screening, too. Look at the individual handsets. you would own to physiclly go to respectively phone and turn the ringer off... sounds close to you do not have that pick...

dial an 800 number, or any other number that you can just stay on the chain with, consequently when your friend calls pick up the appointment waiting...

when you are done with the appointment make sure to switch rear over to the other call to be sure it have disconnected, because if it is still connected when you hang up the phone will ring to remind you that that christen was placed on hold...
