Is in that a number I can type into a landline to forward the call somewhere else? Someone at work said you can do this but

If you're next to BT you have to own subscribed to their call divert service which costs in the region of lb1-lb2 per month plus the cost of the diverted calls.
To set a divert:
*21* number # For adjectives calls
*61* number # For unaswered call
*67* number # For calls when you are on the phone (busy)
To stop: #21# etc
To check status: *#21# etc
Codes for some Virgin media lines can fluctuate, but the above is a european standard. Contract mobile phones use the same codes, but donate an extra * or # at the beginning to set or revoke.
Try *21* then the number you want to divert to if this doesnt work name your landline provider they'll give you the code but beware it costs you to recieve a appointment thats diverted the cost will appear on your landline statement Try this website - http://www.callsure07050.co.uk/free_0871...

all the UK answers....
surrounded by the US and prob canada..
*72 (some places it is 72#)
the dial tone will stutter
then dial the number you want to forward your call to, when the number answers your calls are forwarded...
if not a soul answers the phone, repeat this a second time to activate phone up forward
to disable call forward dial *73 (or 73#)
you inevitability to have send for waiting feature on your phone dash for this service to work...
