I have terrible problems next to the Vetch phones battery...!
I involve a new one every 6 month, but immediately....no more....I got my self a exotic phone and the battery last for the past 4 years!
So, don't rubbish you good money on more battery, first chance you find a new phone....resembling Panasonic!! V-tech's are notorious for draining battery, if you don't want to buy a different phone, get rechargeable battery & charger.
#2, the batteries are within the phone because the base is a short time ago a charging unit, also, allows the phone to be cordless, as your phone is basically a short-range transmitter. That's why the 5.8/6.0 ghz/phones are better because their signal is most secure!
