Static on phone park line--anyway to repair it myself? I've had static on my phone dash since last
I've had static on my phone dash since last week. Looked up the SNI outside the house, tested it, no static when I plugged contained by my phone in it. So I know static comes from my side (not the phone co.). Disconnected adjectives the phones, filters and DSL, plugged surrounded by a phone to each of the jacks, and get static on all the lines. Is near any way I could diagnose and fix it myself since I am broke?? Please give support to! Not only that, but near is absolutely no cell reception contained by my house (not sure why)-- so it feels similar to I'm cut off from everyone...

If nearby is more than 1 pair of wires coming out of the sub. side of the SNI, disconnect them and check if the static disappears. When you bring it isolated to the dead circuit, look for corrosion on the connectors surrounded by the jack or at the mounting cord. This shows as a black spot. if this is evident, replace them. If the jacks and cord looks ok, after the wiring its self is defective.
If static is with the sole purpose inside your house, then in attendance are only a couple probabilities:
1 - Loose connection/s.... inspect adjectives junctions and terminal connections for loose or poor connections. Poor connections is prevalent reason for static and rumble on lines inside the house. The fact that you do not catch noise at demarcation jack but everywhere else within house indicates that the problem is somewhere between the demarcation (or at the demarcation junctions) and your other junctions.
2 - Are you using cordless phones? Test beside a good corded phone. This will stamp out any questions about RFI and interference noise over RF frequencies. you mentioned filter; when you tested the jacks did you have a filter plugged within? if you have DSL and haven't have it split to its own extension you will get static on any extensions that do not enjoy the line filter plugged in..
