Don't want 2nd phone stripe!? Years ago I had a rommy and she put

Years ago I had a rommy and she put surrounded by her own line. This an older house and they spliced in a dime shaped piece of plastic on the inside terminal and on the outside terminal. Can I freshly take out the gizmo from both splices and clear this dash for an extension?
She may have have a 'buddy' do the work!

so is there still service for the second string?
do you want to use the jack for your own line?

if at hand is still service for the second line, you should ring the phone company to cancel the service, if it is within your room mates moniker she may need to call for to have it disconnected..

if it is an added jack for your line, that you no longer want stirring, you can just disconnect, or cut the lead at the NID going to this jack

if you want to connect this jack you your existing phone line, you have need of to just move the flex at the NID from her old chain to your existing line...
