Hooking up digital phone?
we are having our cable provider hook up our digital phone service on saturday. I get the message it runs through the cable modem. The telehphone jack is directly across our living room from the computer( about ten feet). Will they hold to run a cable across our living room or do we have to hold the phone next to the computer and run the phone cord to the phone jack or what not? We would similar to to use a cordless phone that has roughly speaking a two foot cord to plug in, so keeping it by the computer would be kinda difficult. How does running through the computer modem and the jack contained by the wall work at the same time person so far apart?
