We just get hooked up with Insight, and only just about 20 minutes ago, it will ring, we'll pick it up, and the individual calling can hear us, but we can't hear them. We can't call out or anything. When we do, zilch at all happen. Any ideas what's wrong?
Phone jack... Really Need Some HELP?
I want to get a phone within my room. But my parents won't pay for another flash, or pay for a phone jack to be installed within my room. How can I hook up my phone? I have a wireless router, can you hook a phone file up to that? I really have no clue. Also how do those plug things work, the ones that convert an outlet into a phone jack. Please facilitate me
Phone Line Adapter?
I have comcast near two phone lines one which i am using as a fax line but they told me to return with some sort of adapter so that i can plug the phoneline and the fax into it and i can use them both without have to unplug and plug the fax in, what is the adapter call and where can i get hold of one from?
Phone line/answering domestic device problems....?
Our answering machine hasn't worked for fairly some time.let me explain: whenever someone call, it rings 4 times like it's supposed to, and we hold caller ID which other works, but then after the 4th time it lull for a second like it's more or less to turnover to the answering machine--but then it doesn't. It keep ringing, and the caller ID go blank for a sec and comes back up near 'NO DATA' and then it only keeps ringing. The answering gadget never picks up. This happens no situation where we plug the phone within, and with ANY phone....so we've eliminate those possible problems. HELP! btw we have an external modem----dunno if that affects anything... please comfort! This has be going on for almost a year now and is highly frustrating. thx! =]

Okay I found a lost dog.There's a Local home # on the back of it's flap.I've reverse look-up the # and it goes to a string of town houses.No apart or suite # next to the address.I call the phone # and it rings approaching 7-8 times and then go boop boop boop.It's almost like a busy signal.What does that mingy?I've been calling adjectives day and it's be doing this all time.

I moved into an apt. in a house a year ago. I have a cell phone and didn't need a phone, so we didn't bother to hook phone service up. My tenant lives on the first floor apt. in the house. We discovered that nearby was a live phone stripe coming into the apt. and assumed it was the landlords. We have tried to call the splash and it went directly to a fax appliance, so I again assumed the landlord have a dedicated fax column. I told my kids never to use it except in an emergency. Now, a year next we are getting a phone line surrounded by the house. making a long story short - Verizon has no narrative of a line coming into the house and the innkeeper told us she does not have a phone procession! So, I am wondering... whose phone is this?

Just recently, I be thinking about getting a long compass phone for my house since cell phones cost too much and there are too copious fees associated with cell phones. When I did some surfing online, I found some phones that you could hook up to your existing phone splash. However, those phones typically came from some distributor contained by China or some other foreign country. How do I know if those phones will work on my line? I live surrounded by the United States and I currently have verizon. What do I want to know before I in reality buy one of those phones. I tried to find this information online but I was incompetent to find it anywhere. Someone suggested a cordless phone company, but I'm not looking for an ordinary cordless phone.
