Ipod relief?

Well, my faithful ipod settled to give out today
have it for over 2 years
it was working FINE this week
until i settled to play it later on today
and it necessarily functions normally
except when i try to play a song, it doesnt "go"
i can press the play button, and the "pause" will come up and so on, but the timer pole does not budge and i can't hear my music
the audio/video works fine when i tried to play a video.
help? recommendation?...
im probably going to go crazy in need my ipod :(

mine does this every once within a while as far as not playing the music. Did you try powering it off and later trying it again. I dont know if it will work for yours but it has for me. Good luck :) Well, I know that after a certain amount of time, you will own to replace your battery. I've have my iPod now for a moment or two over a year, so I'm wondering how long it will be for me also. I'm not sure if this is your problem or not, but I would suggest that you first try to "Reset" your iPod, and if that doesn't work, then do a "Restore" - this, as you may or may not know, will wipe everything from your iPod and cause it like it be when you first got it. Then when you connect your iPod vertebrae to your computer, it will then sync and copy adjectives of your songs back into your iPod. Once that happen, see if things work correctly again. This is a "last-ditch-effort" problem solver, and if it doesn't work, then I would surmise, because of the age of your iPod, it is now time to renovation out the battery. If you bought an Extended Warranty, this would cover the cost; if you didn't, consequently it would still be cheaper than getting a new iPod. If you hold an Apple Store near you, you could other take it surrounded by and see what they say, but try the Restore portion first. It might just work.
